Weekly: check that forms and key pages work, and review security alerts.
Monthly: update the CMS, theme and plugins after a backup; check site speed and fix broken links.

Yearly: review design, messaging and goals, and plan improvements.
Back up before you need it
Keep automatic daily backups stored in a separate, secure location and test restoring one occasionally. A backup you have never tested is a hope, not a plan.
Measure what matters
Set up Google Analytics 4 and Google Search Console. Track the actions that matter to your business, such as enquiries, bookings, calls and downloads, not just page views. Review the numbers monthly to see which pages and channels bring real customers.
Use data to improve
When you know where visitors drop off, you know what to fix. Combine analytics with heatmaps or short user tests to understand why. Small, regular design improvements beat an expensive redesign every few years.
